Shaft Sealing: Oil seals are primarily used to seal the gap between the rotating or reciprocating shaft and the housing or bore, preventing the leakage of fluids, such as oil or lubricants
Lip Design: Oil seals have a lip or sealing element that comes into contact with the shaft. The lip is typically made of elastomeric material, such as nitrile rubber (NBR) or fluorocarbon rubber (FKM), and it creates a barrier to seal against fluid leakage.
